Privacy and anonymity

Online dating generally falls into “public” and “private” categories. In the case of public dating, all user profiles are visible, even to unregistered users. Conversely, private dating sites protect anonymity and privacy by making this content unavailable to users that are not registered.

User profiles are visible to anyone not registered with the service. Therefore, anyone could potentially see your profile, or information. This means users should take caution with what kind of information they share on the platform.

Prevention of false profiles and fraud

Secret Lovers Nearby uses moderators or animateurs to control chats, which are sometimes only accessible with premium or paid memberships. These chats often use bots, or moderators using prepared texts. This means users will not have a real experience, nor will they be able to actually date them.

Registering on Secret Lovers Nearby will require you to confirm your email address. This is a basic prevention measure to eliminate the creation of fake or fraudulent profiles. This makes the experience on Secret Lovers Nearby more secure, and leads to a better overall experience on the platform.

All photos and images that users upload to profiles are subject to a manual approval process (conducted by moderators and employees). This service is designed to filter out unauthorized photos (these can be photos of celebrities, animated characters, explicit content, or targeted advertising).

Terms and Conditions (TOS)

This dating site has its Terms accessible (you will find a link to them on the main page). We recommend that you read them before registering. Although the text can be lengthy, it is important to familiarize yourself with it.
